Welcome to the website of PAMOJA Trust, a vibrant young Tanzanian NGO. Our office is in the town of Moshi, which lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, in Northern Tanzania.

PAMOJA facilitates the collaboration between local government, civil society and the private sector. The organisation does this by transforming mindsets and attitudes, based on the right of equal access to resources. It promotes the practice of Joint Action and participatory local governance often using international experiences in this area. PAMOJA advocates development practices in which the participation of the people is central.

DOWNLOADS

the poster of the Pangani BasinGlobal climate change and deforestation are contributing to the reduced water flow in the Pangani River in eastern Tanzania. Increased demands for irrigation and hydropower have led to considerable conflicts over the use of water in the Pangani Basin. In cooperation with IUCN and the Pangani Water Basin Office, PAMOJA has produced a poster to illustrate these conflicts. This A2 size poster is being distributed to organisations, authorities and individuals concerned.
